Free Your Inner Queen- Buy A Headpiece!

Headpieces are the must-have item this summer. They're everywhere, which usually I hate. But there's so many to choose from that with this trend that it really doesn't matter. In fact, I'm starting to feel a little bit competitive with my headpiece collection... from tiaras to feathers, I have them all! Here are my top tips on how to wear and where to find the perfect one for you!

Let's start with the feathers. I've been addicted to the tribal look from young so you can only imagine my excitement when one of my closest friends (also known as my personal styling guru) bought me this embellished baby pink feather headband. Forget men, when it comes to love at first sight this is the one. I almost don't want to tell you where it's from but that would defeat the point, so head to Accessorize for this little beauty. If you're keen on tribal or hippy style, feathers are for you and even better when they're embellished. I'm wearing mine with oversized vests and shorts, or jeans if it gets a little nippy. Adding a leather jacket will toughen this up, just maybe give the cowboy boots a miss or you may find yourself being mistaken for fancy dress...

Introducing my number one headpiece, the feather dream.

Next up is the jeweled number. When it comes to jewels I always either stick to the one statement gem or go absolutely crazy, as with this ASOS headpiece below. If you really want to make an entrance then there's no doubt that this is the one to go for. The headpiece that may as well be your outfit the night. Keep the clothes simple and let your gems do the talking! Sparkle sparkle sparkle.

Now, this is the one for the ultimate diva- the tiara! I have to admit that mine hasn't yet left my room and is currently acting as a nice decorative addition. I'm slightly scared that I'll be mistaken as being ten years younger than I actually am, which happens often enough even without the tiara and is something I'd quite like to avoid for now. However, my birthday celebrations are commencing this weekend, so that may just have to change when birthday Kirbs makes an appearance. I bought the Topshop gold and beige tiara a few months ago but noticed that Zara have a beautiful pearl one that's just come in. Calling all daring girls, this one's for you!

Pssst. You have to be careful with this piece, as it is a little OTT and I must say that it isn't for everyone. Think lots of black, smokey eyes, leather and a hint of glitter somewhere else in the outfit.

Looking for the perfect design that isn't being worn by everyone else? Try Ebay or ASOS Marketplace for one-off pieces. Headpiece queens, let the games commence! xx

Motel Rocks... and I Love Lemons!!

I thought I'd start back my blogging with a special post for cutie British brand Motel. You may have seen my last post for them (click me if you missed it!) where I promised to show you all how I styled the Motel Lemonade Scoop Back Bodice. Well, here it finally is...

I decided to keep it simple, as the bodice really does speak for itself but if you're wearing this around London town I'd suggest that you add some shorts... As much as we like to think that we all live in LA, unfortunately we don't. High waist denim would be ideal! However, here's my take on the bodice, editorial style.

Make sure you look fruity this summer by picking yours up here!

Also, check out more from Motel for some seriously fun outfits. They just collaborated with my favourite little model, the beautiful Mimi Elashiry. If Mimi's wearing it, say no more... xx

Over the next couple of weeks there's going to be a little maintenance going on on-site and I may even be switching my blogging platform, but I'll keep you all up-to-date as I make any final decisions.

Here's a sneaky preview for the shoot last week!

Penny Board, Be Mine!!

Recently, I've worked a couple of skate style shoots and ever since have been paying more attention to the sport. The attractiveness of a guy casually skating past on his board and the way those skate-chic girls just drop and go pushed me to my decision- I'm going to learn to skate.

I'm not saying I'll be able to do all of those fancy tricks, jumps and turns (not yet anyway) but I want to be able to get from A to B on a board, without falling off... So first thing's first, I need to find a board. I've decided to go with the Penny; a brand of smaller, plastic versions of the classic skateboard.

Founded by Ben Mackay and based in Australia, Penny Skateboards have made a name for themselves across the globe. Below are the top three Penny boards that take my fancy.

Penny Fade

Available in a variety of fades, including my personal fave pastel, this is the cutest little board and one that will definitely get a few compliments!

Penny Marble

I nearly died when I found these cuties- the white/green for me please!!

Penny x Hundreds Collab

I love a hint of camo! This board would be a nice accessory as well as a great way to get around...

So those are my top three! Hopefully I'll be purchasing one of these very very soon (birthday coming up, hint hint). You can also customise your very own Penny board on site at www.pennyskateboardsonline.co.uk. Fancy giving it a go yourself? Go, go, go!

P.S. If any of you talented young skateboarders fancy giving me a few lessons, it would be very much appreciated if you got in touch! xx

304# Clothing

It's hot in London and I'm dreaming of hitting the beach (although I'll be at Wireless festival today so dreamily admiring Pharrell will have to do for now)! But it wasn't long since was at the beach shooting with the 304# Clothing boys for their SS campaigns. The weather was an absolute dream, just like the team. Check out the results below...

Immunity Food for Party Animals

Firstly, I must apologise once again for the lack of posts on Tigeresslifestyle recently. It's been a super busy period for me lately but I'll be back in full blogger mode soon so don't you worry!!

I'm heading to Glastonbury this week and I'm so so excited! However, I'm also a teenie weenie bit worried that I'm going to be ill after 5 full days of partying hard (then there's the ASOS summer party and Wireless to be prepared for next week so I really must maintain top form)! So, I decided it would be great for me to blog about the top foods for immunity- that will hopefully keep me and all of you other party animals or busy go-getters fuelled and ready to tackle any festival, rave or nagging manager that heads your way. Here goes...

1. Coconuts. Because they're rich in lauric acid, which converts in your body to monolaurin. Monolaurin is the actual compound found in breast milk that strengthens a baby’s immunity. If it's good enough to protect cutie little newborns then it's good enough for us.

2. Blueberries. Lower in sugar than most other fruits and full of phytochemicals, such as anthocyanin, which is what gives blueberries their colour blueberries are the ultimate immunity fruit! They also have a very high in antioxidant capacity compared to other fruits and vegetables and not to forget they taste yum too- woohoo!

3. Mushrooms. Most of my friends don't like mushrooms but I don't understand why. Personally I find them yum yum yum so I was super happy to find out that they strengthen my immune system too! They're rich in protein, fibre, Vitamin C and minerals. Forget eat your greens- eat your mushrooms!!

4. Garlic. Antiviral, anti-fungal and antibacterial. I don't really need to say any more. Just perhaps don't indulge right before a hot date...

5. Pro-biotic Yoghurt. Good bacteria to help keep disease-causing germs away from our gut and intestinal tract. Eat for breakfast, snacks or even dessert.

6. Tea. Served black. I hate tea (please don't hate me), but I know that there's plenty of you out there who love it sooo drink up guys because apparently it's fighting viruses! P.S. Get up to five times more antioxidants from your tea bags by bobbing them up and down while you brew. Who knew!

7. Carrots. High in carotene, super cheap and easy to eat in several different ways (raw, mashed, boiled or even roasted). Say no more.

It's time to eat/ drink up party animals, workaholics and general health obsessives like myself. Germs come at us, we're fully prepared!

I'll be back next week after Glastonbury with more lifestyle posts so keep checking back for fashion, fitness and health inspiration xx
